“Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.” Psalm 107:28-30
I remember during Prayer and Fasting last January, I gave a copy of our 2013 faith goals to the Intercessory Team. One of the prayer points was to get pregnant, and the Lord answered in less than 3 months.
However, my pregnancy hasn’t been easy and ordinary. It has required me to stay in Manila until I give birth. I’ve experienced spottings ,contractions. I have undergone weekly ultrasounds and painful injections. But through prayer, the Lord provided everything that we need and kept me and our baby safe. Eleven more more weeks to go, and we will see and hold our first baby girl, Abigail Anne. We ask that you keep on praying for a successful and safe delivery.
Prayer shows how dependent we are on God’s power and wisdom no matter how difficult our situation is. Through prayer we experience God’grace, favor and miracles everyday.
Keith and I are blessed to have a spiritual family who always stands with us in prayer and walks with us in our journey. For me, my required bed rest while I’m pregnant is an opportunity to pray and intercede for others. Always remember that we have God’s power on our side when we pray for one another.
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them”. Matthew 18:20
